I intend this website to conform to as many of the World Wide Web Consortium's Triple-A Accessibility Rating Guidelines as possible.
Unlike XHTML and CSS, accessibility can't be checked completely using automatic processes. I have run my pages through Watchfire WebXACT, and according to this check, my pages conform to the Double-A guidelines, and almost conform to the Triple-A guidelines. However there remains an element of self-assessment, and because of doubts over that I'm not explicitly claiming Double-A compliance.
If accessibility is an issue for you, I'd be interested to hear how you get on with my site. Contact me.
Access keys and tabbing
There are 3 access keys assigned according to the UK Government accessibility guidelines, and one that I have added.
- 0 - These accessibility details
- 1 - Home
- 3 - Site map
- U - up one level in the website structure
In the second level, where "Home" and "up one level" are the same thing, the U access key is dropped.
The background of active text links turns yellow, and so does the border of active images.
